Groupe Bélanger-Mañon — RE/MAX takes the protection of your personal information seriously. This policy explains what information is collected by the belanger-manon.com website, why it is collected, how long it is kept and what your rights are.

Information we collect

We collect only the information you voluntarily send us through the forms on this website (free home evaluation request and contact form):

  • your full name
  • your email address
  • your phone number, if you choose to provide it
  • the content of the message you write to us
  • the page the request was sent from and the date it was sent

Our server also keeps technical logs (IP address, date and time of the request) for a short period, in order to keep the website secure and to limit automated submissions.

Why we collect it

  • to answer your request and follow up on your real estate project
  • to prepare the free evaluation of your property, where applicable
  • to reach you by phone or by email about that request
  • to prevent abuse, spam and automated submissions

We do not use your information for advertising purposes and we do not sign you up for any newsletter without your consent.

Consent

By submitting a form, you consent to our team contacting you about your request. You may withdraw that consent at any time by writing to us: we will then stop contacting you and will delete your information, subject to the legal obligations that apply to us.

Who has access to your information

Your information is accessible to the brokers of Groupe Bélanger-Mañon and to the people who assist them in handling your file. It may also be processed by our technical suppliers (website hosting and email service), only to the extent necessary to provide their services.

We do not sell, trade or rent your personal information. It is disclosed to third parties (for example a notary, an inspector or a financial institution) only when this is necessary to complete your transaction, with your consent, or when the law requires it.

Retention

Requests received through the forms are kept for as long as necessary to follow up on your project, then destroyed or anonymized. When a request leads to a real estate transaction, the file is kept in accordance with the requirements that apply to Québec real estate brokers.

Cookies and statistics

This website loads Google Tag Manager, which is used to measure how well our ads perform: it records the pages viewed and the submission of a form, and may set audience-measurement cookies. We do not use it to identify you personally or to resell your data. You can refuse these cookies in your browser settings: the forms will keep working.

The website's fonts are loaded from an external service (Google Fonts), which transmits your IP address to that provider.

Security

Exchanges with this website are encrypted (HTTPS) and access to the requests received is password protected. We apply reasonable measures to prevent the loss of your information and its unauthorized use or disclosure. As no system is infallible, we cannot however guarantee absolute security.

Your rights

At any time and free of charge, you may:

  • request access to the information we hold about you
  • ask for it to be corrected if it is inaccurate or incomplete
  • withdraw your consent and ask for your request to be deleted
